This bare Endurance 37 hull is heavily laid up fiberglass. I was told that the hull was manufactured by De Kleer (Richmond) in about but have no paperwork to that effect. See http://sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id= for a lot of info on the boat or the link below. I think that it requires lbs of lead or steel ballast in the keel which is about a foot wide. The Kubota diesel engine is about 40hp and has not run in several years but has been covered. Comes with Volvo hydraulic drive (pump/motor/hoses).
If you want to rig her as a ketch (that was my plan) it comes with two 40 foot aluminum masts. One has never been installed but has a nice RADAR mount and base but no masthead. No spreaders. Head sail and main sail are from a 36 foot boat that I used to own and there may be some other sails available. Some stainless rigging parts like stays and shrouds. Pedestal steering/binnacle has a compass. There's a rudder but like everything else, it is not installed. Tandem flatdeck trailer with sailboat cradle has electric brakes, lights and fenders and is registered. Tires are old but hold air.
There is no ballast installed, I towed it from Qualicum with my 3/4 ton pickup - weight on trailer is about lb.
This is a giant project but these boats are quite valuable when complete. If you've ever wanted to finish a sailboat, this is a great candidate. My cost has been MUCH more than I'm asking but it's time to downsize now and this has to go...
The boat is at Shawnigan Lake if you'd like to come have a look. Let me know when you can make it and I'll send you the address.
